The short answer

A battery-ready system for a typical Cebu home costs about ₱110,000–₱236,000 installed: 4 to 9 panels (2.48–5.58 kWp), the sizes our calculator designs for bills of ₱3,000–₱12,000 a month on VECO rates. Each 5.12 kWh battery adds ₱52,000.

A larger 16-panel (9.92 kWp) system is about ₱335,000–₱393,000 without a battery. These are estimates from our current price list: a site assessment confirms your final price, and VAT treatment is confirmed in your written quotation.

Prices by system size

What solar costs in Cebu, size by size.

Every figure is computed from the same price list as our calculator. The bill line shows which monthly bill each size suits.

Indicative installed prices in pesos (±8% around our itemised list total, before any promotion); VAT treatment is confirmed in your written quotation. Bills are what our calculator sizes each system for on VECO rates, without a battery. Inverters are chosen for a typical 3-bedroom home’s peak load; a lighter load can mean a smaller, cheaper inverter.

  1. Each extra panel adds about ₱18,700 to the list total: the panel itself, its mounting and its share of installation. The price climbs steadily with size until the inverter steps up.
  2. Price per kWp falls as systems grow, from ₱48,306 at 4 panels to ₱36,714 at 16, because the inverter and installation set-up are shared by more panels. One ₱/kWp figure never fits every size.
  3. A battery adds the same ₱52,000 at any size: +27% on an 8-panel system, +14% on 16 panels. Ready-made configurations are laid out in our solar packages guide.

  1. 1

    Solar panels ₱8,500 per panel

620 W N-type TOPCon modules, about ₱13.71 per watt. This is the biggest line on most systems and grows one panel at a time.

Whoever you get quotes from, ask for the panel make, model and datasheet.

  2. 2

    Hybrid inverter ₱45,000–₱80,000

Deye single-phase 48 V hybrids. Every system gets a hybrid inverter, which is why every system is battery-ready. The calculator picks the smallest one that suits the array and leaves room to add panels.

    • SUN-5K ₱45,000
    • SUN-6K ₱50,000
    • SUN-8K ₱65,000
    • SUN-10K ₱80,000

For context, one Philippine online retailer listed the 5, 6, 8 and 10 kW single-phase Deye hybrids at ₱49,096, ₱61,000, ₱70,850 and ₱94,235 on 16 October 2026 (two of them sold out).

  3. 3

    Batteries ₱52,000 each

5.12 kWh LiFePO4 (51.2 V) batteries, optional. For runtime we count about 3.69 kWh delivered per battery, which runs about 7 hours of essentials at 0.5 kW.

  4. 4

Mounting, cabling & protection ₱4,000 per panel

Rails and clamps, DC and AC cabling, breakers and surge protection.

  5. 5

    Installation, permits & net-metering ₱10,000 per kWp

System design, installation, configuration and testing, plus an allowance for the permit and net-metering paperwork. The official fees we know of for a home: the ERC Certificate of Compliance is ₱1,500, the bidirectional meter difference is capped at ₱3,000, and the utility’s impact study and testing are free.

Permit fees are set by your city or municipality. Your quotation confirms which fees the allowance covers. More on the process in our net-metering guide.

Site assessment

Roof type & condition

Metal (GI or long-span), concrete deck and tile roofs need different mounting hardware. A roof near the end of its life is better repaired before panels go on. Check yours with the roof suitability guide; mounting for Cebu’s storms is covered in typhoon-ready installation.

Site assessment

Wiring distance

The estimate assumes ordinary cable runs. A long run between the roof, the inverter and your main panel, or many circuits moved onto battery backup, adds cable and labour.

Site assessment

Access & height

Two- and three-storey roofs, steep pitches and tight access can need extra equipment and time on site.

Custom proposal

Three-phase supply

The inverters on our standard list are single-phase. Three-phase homes and businesses need a custom proposal; we confirm what can be supplied after reviewing your supply.

Battery or battery-free

A battery adds ₱52,000. Here’s what it buys.

Brownouts decide this one. The Visayas grid logged 93 yellow and 30 red alerts from 1 January to 3 September 2026 (NGCP, via Daily Tribune). Rotations ran about an hour per area, and red-alert windows fell mostly in the late afternoon and evening, when panels make little power. SunStar reported in October 2026 that shortages are likely through 2027; Energy Secretary Garin said the fix “will be a 2028”.

  • Small battery systems are our weakest value: 5 panels with one battery is ₱61.5k per kWp, above the ₱44k–₱58k mainstream range, because the inverter and battery cost the same whatever the array size.

Cebu context

One price list for Cebu. Five different rates.

Where you live in Cebu changes what solar saves far more than what it costs.

≈ ₱15.9CEBECO IIper kWh, Sep 2026 (ICSC tracker)

₱15.08CEBECO IIIper kWh, Oct 2026

The explorer and calculator use the same equipment prices from Cebu City to Carcar. Your utility changes the size a bill calls for (₱8,000 a month is about 537 kWh at VECO’s rate but 501 kWh at MECO’s) and, above all, what each kWh of solar is worth to you.

Household rates in Cebu rose about 19–45% in the year to September 2026 and move by ₱0.50–₱1.00/kWh in a typical month, so treat any single rate as a snapshot.

Exported power earns less than the retail rate: net metering credits your utility’s generation charge, which was about 54–67% of the household rate in Cebu in September–October 2026. Our calculator assumes a cautious 55%.

To turn a price into savings and payback, use the solar savings calculator, then weigh it up in is solar worth it in Cebu? For export credits and paperwork, read the net-metering guide.

Searches for solar installments are common. Here is only what published sources report, as of October 2026. Check terms with the lender.

Start battery-ready, add batteries later

Every system on our list uses a hybrid inverter, so you can start with panels and add batteries when the budget allows (₱52,000 each at today’s list price).

A change to an approved net-metering system goes through the utility’s process again; our battery upgrade guide explains it.

If you compare installment offers, compare the total amount payable and what the system includes, not just the monthly figure.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Solar prices in Cebu, straight answers.

The questions people ask before they set a budget, answered with the same numbers as the calculator.

Question not here? Ask a solar advisor about your home.

01How much does a 5 kW solar system cost in Cebu?

It depends on what “5 kW” means: some quotes use it for the inverter, others for the panels. On our price list, 8 panels (4.96 kWp) with a Deye SUN-5K hybrid inverter come to about ₱179,000–₱210,000 installed without a battery (list total ₱194,600), and about ₱227,000–₱266,000 with one 5.12 kWh battery.

When you compare quotes, ask for the panel count, kWp, inverter kW and battery kWh as separate numbers.

02Magkano magpakabit ng solar sa bahay sa Cebu?

For homes with bills of about ₱3,000–₱12,000 a month, our calculator designs 4–9 panels, at roughly ₱110,000–₱236,000 installed without a battery. Each 5.12 kWh battery adds ₱52,000.

Pick your own bill in the price explorer on this page to see your itemised figure. Every price is an estimate until a site assessment confirms it.

03How much does one solar panel cost?

Our list price is ₱8,500 per 620 W N-type TOPCon panel. A panel on its own isn't a system, though: each one also needs mounting and cabling (₱4,000) and installation (about ₱6,200), and every system needs an inverter. That's why the smallest system our calculator designs, 4 panels, comes to ₱119,800 before the ±8% range.

04Are permits and net metering included in the price?

Yes, as an allowance. The line “Installation, permits & net-metering” covers design, installation, configuration and testing, plus the permit and net-metering paperwork. The official fees we know of for a home are the ERC Certificate of Compliance (₱1,500) and the difference for the bidirectional meter (capped at ₱3,000); the utility's impact study and testing are free.

Your written quotation confirms which fees the allowance covers and how VAT applies.

05Is solar pricing the same across Cebu province?

The explorer and the calculator use one price list for all of Cebu. What can differ is your site: roof type and height, cable runs and access, which the site assessment checks before the price is confirmed.

Savings vary more than prices, because each utility charges a different rate: VECO ₱14.89 (Sep 2026), MECO ₱15.98 (Sep 2026), CEBECO I ₱15.24 (Sep 2026), CEBECO II about ₱15.9 (Sep 2026, tracker), CEBECO III ₱15.08 (Oct 2026).

06Why are some solar quotes much cheaper?

Usually because they price something different. Grid-tie systems with string inverters cost less per kWp, but they can't take a battery without replacing the inverter or adding a separate battery inverter; one Philippine solar guide (Solaready, 2026) puts that at ₱30,000–₱80,000. Some “kW” packages count the inverter rather than the panels, and some leave out mounting, permits or net-metering paperwork.

Compare panel count, kWp, the inverter model, usable battery kWh, VAT and every line item, not just the total.

07Can I start without a battery and add one later?

Yes. Every system on our price list uses a Deye hybrid inverter, so it is battery-ready. At today's list price each 5.12 kWh battery adds ₱52,000.

Under the ERC's net-metering rules, a change to an approved system goes through the utility's application process again, so plan for that step when you add storage.
